Fitting Contact Lenses

A contact lens fitting follows a comprehensive eye exam.

There are different types of contact lenses to suit most eyes and needs. Some lens types available are soft lenses and multifocal lenses.

After your fitting, you may be sent home with a trial pair of contacts. We will arrange a follow-up appointment to confirm the lenses are working for you.

Caring for Your Contacts

Caring for your contacts is a bit more involved than caring for a pair of glasses.

Since contacts sit directly on your eye, you need to be sure you’re following every hygiene rule your optometrist lays out.

If you’re ever unsure how to care for your contacts or have questions, let us know! Our team is more than happy to help.

Always wash your hands with antibacterial soap and water before handling your contact lenses.
Clean and store your contact lenses in fresh, sterile contact lens solution.
Disinfect your contact lenses regularly with fresh disinfectant solution.
Remove your contact lenses before sleeping, showering, or swimming.
Replace your contact lenses as recommended by your optometrist.
